Dr Who : The Tennant Era

So there I was watching an episode of Doctor Who and Chris Eccelston, who had only done a dozen or so episodes REGENERATED!!...I didnt now what to think initially, was he sacked?, did he quit? or worse, I mean its very rare for a Doctor to last only one season innnit?...ANYWHO....David Tennant popped into existence, suffice it to say,  Rose was fairly stunned....he somehow gets the blue box back to Roses estate in the London suburbs but passes out so he can finish becoming whom he has become, while Rose and Mickey start the Tennant era off with murderous Santa's and a dash of blood control.

DOCTOR # 10 - DAVID TENNANT
After waking up on Christmas Day , after a nice cup of tea,  his new form, the Doctor fought the Sycorax high above London, where he lost a hand but grew a new one with leftover regeneration juice. Travelling with Rose and Mickey he battled Cybermen, werewolves and possibly, the Devil itself.

Losing Rose in a parallel universe – but later leaving her with a half-human clone of himself – the Doctor travelled on. He hid as John Smith,  a human schoolmaster,  to spare the Family of Blood , he defeated his nemesis the Master once more and met River Song for the first time in the midst of a meat eating mite attack.

Told by  the ood that he would die when someone knocked four times, . Reeling from his confrontation with the Rassilon and the returning Time Lords and fatally dosed with radiation, the Tenth Doctor’s song ended, as his violent regeneration burned the TARDIS and sent it crashing through space….

Jackie is a widow who lives alone with her daughter Rose until Rose leaves her London  life behind to travel through time and space with the Doctor.  As Jackie is brought into danger by her proximity to the 9th Doctor, she resents his influence over Rose. However, once he undergoes a regeneration, and becomes David Tennants Doctor, Jackie has a much better relationship with him. The character was exited the show at the end of the 2006 series, along with Rose, in a storyline which sees them trapped in a parallel universe where Jackie forms a new relationship with an alternate version of her deceased husband.

Studying for her doctorate in medicine, Martha Jones was inside Royal Hope Hospital when it was transported to the moon. Showing great bravery in the face of the Plasmavore, The Juddoon and generally not being on Earth, the Doctor invited her for travel with him. She was wooed by William Shakespeare, fought Daleks in New York and looked after the Doctor when disguised as a human school teacher in 1913. When the Doctor was captured by the Master, Martha travelled the world telling his story of resistance. The psychic energy this gathered helped release the Time Lord. After activating Project Indigo in the face of Davros' Reality Bomb, Martha married Mickey Smith and together they hunted alien threats to Earth.

A temp from West London, Donna found herself transported aboard the TARDIS as she was walking down the aisle on her wedding day. Fortunately, the Doctor saved her from marrying Lance – who’d made a deal with the Empress of the Racnoss. Despite turning down the Doctor’s offer to travel with him, she began investigating possible alien incursions, in the hope she’d meet him again. When they were reunited at Adipose Industries, she took up the offer to travel in the TARDIS - visiting Pompeii, meeting Agatha Christie and helping thwart the Sontarans. When the Doctor was exterminated by a Dalek and began regenerating he funneled the energy into his spare hand. When Donna touched this, it provoked a ‘metacrisis’, where she acquired all of the Doctor’s knowledge. Although this was essential in stopping Davros, it started to destroy Donna’s body. The Doctor was forced to wipe her mind and return her to Sylvia and Wilf. He later bought Donna and new husband Shaun a winning lottery ticket.

Wilf first encountered the Doctor on Christmas Day 2007, when the Time Lord beamed down from the Titanic with Astrid Peth. A year later, during the Adipose affair, he was to see the Doctor again – this time through his telescope as the TARDIS, with Donna aboard, sped across the sky. A keen astronomer, Wilf readily accepted the Doctor's alien nature, along with his granddaughter’s travelling in time and space. When Donna's mind had to be wiped of her travels with the Doctor, he was heartbroken but promised to keep watching the skies for the TARDIS. Extraordinarily loyal, he urged the Doctor to kill the Master and save the world when he opened the timelock on the Time War. It was Wilf who would eventually knock four times, and herald theTenth Doctor’s regeneration.

The Face of Boe had the distinction of being one of the oldest creatures in the known universe
In 200,000, he was featured on Bad Wolf TV, in a news story claiming that he had fallen pregnant with Boemina....In the year 5 billion (5.5/Apple/26), the Face of Boe was the sponsor of an event to safely witness the destruction of the Earth by the expansion of the Sun. The hot water in his room on the platform observing the "Earth death" was not working. The event was sabotaged by Lady Cassandra, but the Face was among the remaining survivors.
By 5,000,000,023, the Face was hospitalised in Ward 26 of the hospital run by the Sisters of Plenitude on New Earth. By this time, he was the last of Boekind. Apparently dying of old age, the Face summoned the Tenth Doctor to his ward. When a novice told the Doctor the legend of the Face's last words — a secret which the Face would impart only to one like himself — the Doctor realised that he fit the description of the "wanderer [...] the man without a home, the lonely god"
The Doctor was ultimately reunited with the Face of Boe one last time during his travels with Martha Jones, in the year 5,000,000,053. This was the only time the Face of Boe communicated vocally with the Doctor. Boe revealed his last secret with his dying breath after sacrificing himself to save the city of New New York: "You [the Doctor] are not alone". The Doctor dismissed this, as he still firmly believed himself the last Time Lord
Captain Jack commented on the fact that when he was younger on the Boeshane Peninsula, the first person there to join the Time Agency, he was nicknamed the Face of Boe. This led the Doctor and Martha to speculate that Jack may in fact be destined to become the Face of Boe himself.

The Ood were a humanoid species with  tentacles used for feeding purposes located on the lower portions of their faces. They had no vocal cords and instead communicated by telepathy. The Ood had long lifespans; Ood Sigma lived 100 years after the human enslavement ended and the Tenth Doctor was surprised at this, thinking he should have been much older.
Their telepathic sensitivity enabled them to foretell the return of the Master, the creation of a Doctor-Donna and the regeneration of the Tenth Doctor. A lone Ood, called Nephew, was trapped in House’s pocket universe. He was atomised by Idris and the Doctor’s junk TARDIS materialising

Meaning “the shadows that melt the flesh”, Vashta Nerada occur naturally on most planets – including Earth – in small clusters, like the dust in sunbeams. In The Library, the Doctor encountered an entire swarm of Vashta Nerada, stripping the flesh from numerous members of Mr Lux’s unfortunate crew. The Doctor brokered a deal with the creatures (who were using the animated remains of the crew in their flight-suits): if he could get the humans off the planet, the Vashta Nerada could remain in the “forests” of books.

The Heavenly Host, or the Host, were service robots working for Max Capricorn Starcruisers. They were fashioned to look like angels. Their purpose was to provide information and other assistance to crew and passengers. However, the Heavenly Host lacked autonomy and would do anything their master authority ordered, including criminal acts such as murder

Young Adipose were hand-sized, marshmallow-shaped beings, composed almost entirely of fat. They had two eyes and a mouth, two arms with webbed hands and two stumpy legs. Most Adipose had what appeared to be a single tooth. The Adipose reproduced on Nursery Worlds. When on Earth, the Adipose's development was started when a pill from Adipose Industries was ingested. The young Adipose would grow, collecting fat from around the body. Every night, the Adipose would then be born and leave the body. They could convert other material into fat; however, this practice was not good for their health. Alternative materials included the bones, organs, muscles and many other human tissues. In emergencies, this was used to dispose of people by turning them completely into Adipose

The Flood was a viral species which originated inside a glacier on the planet Mars. The Flood needed a physical form to take on, so they infected a number of crew members from Bowie Base One, starting with Andrew Stone. It went on further, with the part of The Flood in Andy infecting Margaret Cain and Tarak Ital. After infecting Ed Gold, Steffi Ehrlich, and Roman Groom, Maggie went to break the glacier, but failed due to Adelaide Brooke initiating Action Five

Mercy Hartigan, also known as Miss Hartigan, was a human agent of the Cybermen. She assisted them in their attempt to conquer Victorian Britain and then, ultimately, the world.....Miss Hartigan was matron of the St Joseph's Workhouse (a job for which she showed great dislike). Some short time prior to Christmas 1851 she met the Cybermen and agreed to help them achieve their goals in return for the promise that she would be heralded when their plans were accomplished. She was also protected by a guard of Cybershades who drove her horse and coach.

The Vinvocci were green, spiky humanoids. They resembled the Zocci, but were taller and green. .....Rossiter and Addams used shimmers to appear as humans. These devices, disguised as a wristwatch, allowed Rossiter and Addams to work for Joshua Naismith undetected. However the device was uncomfortable to use....The Vinvocci had a medical device, dubbed the Immortality Gate by humans, which was capable of healing "whole planets".....Rossiter and Addams also had a salvage spaceship. It had a teleport system connected to the wristwatches and several sets of automated laser weapons for destroying asteroids.

Rassilon was, alongside Omega and the Other, one of the founders of Time Lord civilisation and widely regarded as the single greatest figure of Gallifreyan history. He was generally considered the first Time Lord, though some believed that distinction belonged to his compatriot Omega. In his own time, Rassilon was chiefly an engineer and architect but once he had left his mark, most of Time Lord society hailed him as a hero. Other Time Lords contended that Rassilon was a corrupt megalomaniac who tried to murder his friend Omega and stole his invention to build Time Lord society. During the Last Great Time War, he returned to lead the Time Lords to battle the Daleks, and tried to find ways to break the Time lock and escape the war.

The Abzorbaloff was the name given by both the Tenth Doctor and Elton Pope to an Abzorbalovian who disguised himself as a human under the alias Victor Kennedy. He could absorb his victims' bodies, along with their memories and consciousnesses, into himself at a simple touch. Clom, the creature's home planet, was the sister planet of Raxacoricofallapatorius. Despite a passing resemblance to them, he spoke of the Raxacoricofallapatorians with contempt

The Empress met the Tenth Doctor on Christmas Day 2007, in a secret location under the Thames Flood Barrier. She was trying to awaken her long-dead race, whom she called her children, with the Huon energy implanted into the body of Donna Noble by her fiancé, Lance Bennett. Lance was originally affiliated with the Empress; however, when Donna escaped with the Doctor in the TARDIS, the Empress decided to use him instead. She force-fed him Huon particles and dropped him into the centre of the Earth, where the Racnoss spaceship was. There, the Huon particles awoke the Racnoss, who feasted on Lance.

Father Angelo was the leader of a group of monks called the Brethren. They took over Torchwood House to awaken a werewolf and create the "Empire of the Wolf". He oversaw the operation in which the Brethren kidnapped most of the staff working there. Under his instructions, the Brethren locked the victims together in the cellar with the Host, an un-evolved form of the werewolf. To keep himself from raising suspicion, he planted himself in the room, hosting dinner for Sir Robert Macleish. The monks tried to infect Queen Victoria, and while doing this, Angelo attempted to steal the Koh-i-Noor diamond. He was shot dead by Victoria, after she learned of his true intentions

The Judoon were a race of rhinocerid humanoids frequently employed as a mercenary police force. They were known to be single-minded in carrying out their tasks, without regard for unintended consequences of their actions...The Judoon were known for their strict obedience to the law and their brutal efforts in maintaining it. Crimes like physical assault towards a Judoon incurred the death penalty, without chance for trial. The Doctor described them as logical, but stupid, and they seemed to favour methodical patterns of behaviour to a fault

Max Capricorn owned the spaceship known as the Titanic.
Capricorn was a cyborg; only his head was organic. After having spent a hundred seventy-six years working for his company, only to be kicked out by his own board, he sabotaged Titanic's voyage so he could get revenge on his company for discrimination of his cyborg status. He used the Heavenly Host to damage the Titanic and kill the crew, leaving no witnesses. He planned to turn the Titanic into a giant bomb heading for Earth. When the board members of his company were accused of mass murder, they would be removed, after which he would retire to the planet Penhaxico II.......His plan was foiled by Astrid Peth, who used a forklift to lift his entire cybernetic casing and throw him over the side of one of the Titanic's platforms. During the struggle, one of the Host cut the brakes of the forklift with its razor-sharp halo. Max and Astrid tumbled into the flaming engines far below.

Bannakaffalatta was a cyborg Zocci aboard the Titanic. He had had an accident some time before and, as a result, had undergone conversion into a cyborg, for which he felt some shame because cyborgs were discriminated against on Sto. Bannakaffalatta refused to be addressed as "Banna".
